Lifts campaign update

Lucy Care and local Liberal Democrats have been campaigning for lifts to platforms 2-6 on Derby Railway Station. The installation of lifts at Derby station would help lots of people in Derby.
Mothers with pushchairs, wheelchair users, people with heavy luggage, people with back-problems would all benefit from lifts at the station.
A petition was started which raised hundreds of signatures in support of lifts for the station. Lucy Care and local campaigners recently sent copies of the petition to Midland Mainline to put pressure on them to install lifts.
During the campaign Derby was visited by Baroness Joan Walmsley, who visited Derby Rail station to back the station lifts campaign.
