This year's council election results show that Lucy Care is on course to become the next MP for Derby North
This year's local election results in Derby suggest that Lucy Care is on course to be elected as the Liberal Democrat MP for Derby North at the next election.
In the new Derby North parliamentary seat, the Liberal Democrats easily outpolled Labour and will move forward with confidence in their bid to take the seat at the General Election.
Lucy Care, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for Derby North said "This is a stunning result for the Liberal Democrats. Locally we have established a reputation for year round hard work and getting things done.
"I'd like to thank the voters for their confidence in us. This results show that we are well placed to win the Derby North seat at the next General Election. We are looking forward to taking our fight for Derby to Westminster."
