Liberal Democrats are leading the fight to defend the NHS
Derby Liberal Democrat Campaigner Lucy Care is urging local people to use a new website to share their experiences of the NHS.
The Liberal Democrats have set up a website www.nhssos.com in response to government cuts to health services. The website gives people the chance to share their experiences of the NHS.
People can also sign a petition against NHS cuts on the site.
It was recently announced that up to 150 hospital beds at the DRI and City Hospital could be lost after cutbacks.
Local Campaigner Councillor Lucy Care welcomed the setting up of the website "Talking to local people one thing is clear, people want good quality health services for themselves and their families.
"The threat of cuts to hospital beds at the City Hospital and the DRI is a concern. Another issue which worries a lot of people I speak to is a lack of NHS dentists in Derby.
"Local Liberal Democrats have already sent tens of thousands of Save the NHS petitions out and we are getting a big response back.
"This website is another opportunity for people to get across their concerns about the state of the NHS. Liberal Democrats want to see a caring, efficient and well-funded NHS. The more strongly local people speak out about the state of the NHS the more chance we have of seeing improvements made to it."
