Lucy Care wants to hear local people's views on the state of the NHS
A leading local Liberal Democrat wants to hear local people's views on the state of the NHS.
Cllr Lucy Care Lib Dem Parliamentary Campaigner for Derby North is sending out over 40,000 NHS surveys to households across Derby North.
"We want to give local people a chance to have their say on local health services and health policy in general" said Lucy.
"This will be one of the biggest consultations on health that has ever been organised in Derby."
The survey asks for views on health issues facing local people including the state of NHS dentistry in Derby and the threat to over 150 beds at Derby's hospitals because of government cutbacks.
"The Liberal Democrats want to see good quality local health services here in Derby and across the country," said Lucy. "We believe that local residents should have more say over decisions about their local health service and this is one way we can put that belief into practice.
"We want to hear what improvements local people think can be made to our health services locally."
A version of the survey is also available to download from this website.
