Liberal Democrat leadership contenders Nick Clegg and Chris Huhne will be visiting Derby this weekend.
Lucy Care will be discussing local Lib Dem campaigning with Nick Clegg and Chris Huhne
They will be debating at the East Midlands Liberal Democrat conference which is being held in Derby on Saturday.
Lucy Care Liberal Democrat campaigner for Derby North said "I am delighted that Nick Clegg and Chris Huhne will be visiting Derby.
"Liberal Democrats in Derby are in a strong position. We are the main opposition to Labour on the council and we are a close second to Labour in the new Derby North Parliamentary seat.
"Whichever of the two becomes leader I am confident that the Lib Dems will go from strength to strength in Derby.
"The leadership election is a great opportunity for the Liberal Democrats to set out our policy stall. Our policies of better public services, more police on the streets, protecting the environment, saving Post Offices and fairer taxation are policies with strong support amongst the public."
