A Record of Action
Derby Liberal Democrats have a hard working team of councillors.
Liberal Democrats are excellent ward councillors. For example within Derby they:
- Produce and deliver regular Focus Newsletters to their constituents, at no cost to the Council Tax payer, to keep local people informed and involved with local decision making
- Consult local people about specific issues in their areas, often using door-to-door surveys
- Campaign within the council on specific issues, both of local ward importance and of city-wide significance
- Take up personal concerns and grievances on behalf of constituents
- Fought to make the council more open
- Welcome input from the people of Derby
At the 2010 General Election, the Liberal Democrats came very close to winning Derby North.
